Notes
Realign’s latest effort, entitled “New Wine” is about new beginnings; letting go of all the crap in your past a starting over with a clean slate. A theme no doubt inspired by the new life that has been breathed into the band as of late.
A few recent personnel changes in the midst of trying to write and record a new record proved challenging. But this state of uncertainty about Realign’s future only strengthened the resolve of founding members Brandon Jamison, Ryan Jamison, and Michael Dotson
Their commitment to hard work and excellence has been the cornerstone of Realign’s success. With their previous record, and extensive touring they set in place a strong foundation. Realign’s reputation for an intense, and captivating live show has landed them on the stage with many major label acts such as Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Day of Fire, and Red.
The goal with “New Wine” is to expand on this foundation. In an effort to take Their songwriting to the next level, Realign sought out Billboard charting producer Jeremy Luzier. This collaboration yielded a new, edgier Realign sound with more depth lyrically and musically: an aggressive hardcore edge with an alternative touch that speaks a message of hope in the midst of pain and suffering. The record is set to release independently in Spring ‘08. And, with the addition of new bass player, Mike Patten, and guitar player, Chris Palmer, Realign will be hitting the road hard over the next year, supporting what they feel is only the first of many great Realign albums to come.
Despiste all the changing that has taken place in Realign, the main goal remains the same: to connect with people on a real, personal level and bring a message of hope into the lives of the hurt and suffering.
