Damn Pretty is the debut album from the No Nonsense NL Allstar "badass rock" band Red Vultures.
What happens when musicians from various well known and popular dutch rock and metal bands such as Vals Licht, Heideroosjes, Within Temptation, My Favorite Scar and Kingfisher Sky get together and start jamming spontaneously, just for the sake of music and fun?
Well, quite a few things.
1. With no pressure or deadlines from a record label at all, they start writing a bunch of highly energetic (so called) ‘badass rock’ songs
2. They record these songs (known as the Red Vultures EP) on lo-fi quality and put them online
3. Clubs and festivals get enthusiastic and invite the band to play a show
4. The reactions from media and audience are raving:
“Red Vultures are described being catchy and energetic and they live up to these expectations. The band sounds great, catchy and awesome!” [dutch multimedia platform VPRO 3voor12]
5. The musicians form a new band called Red Vultures and record their second EP in 2014: Dirty Cash
6. They start writing new songs in 2014 for their upcoming debut album titled Damn Pretty
Frontman Tony: ,,Red Vultures plays ‘badass rock’, meaning that the music comes straight from the heart. The songs are passion driven, no nonsense & no bullshit - and without concessions. We really like catchy songs that have awesome and heavy killer guitar riffs, perfect hooklines and great melodies. Just like the classic rock songs of the seventies, but with a nowadays sound.
