Description

Fusing elements of white hot punk and aggressive anthemic hardcore, and drawing from the influence of early metal and revolutionary bands like Refused and AFI.

Notes

Fusing elements of white hot punk and aggressive anthemic hardcore, and drawing from the influence of early metal and revolutionary bands like Refused and AFI, The Redemption Song's debut full length "Plays Dead in Stereo" spans the first two years of the band, from some of their earliest material to some of their most recent, which shows a progression in sound and thought foreshadowing The Redemption Song's honest and unapologetic vision of apocalyptic hardcore coming full circle.

Furiously recorded in a weekend in two of Louisville, Ky's most important studios: Elliott's Non Linear (The Rise, Elliott) and downtown Louisville VML Studios (Black Cross), Plays Dead in Stereo clocks in at just under half an hour and is filled with enough honest raw energy and sing along's to please both punk and hardcore purists alike.

The Redemption Song has continued to sharpen their focus toward the area between hardcore and punk and has proven themselves as a must-see live band, literally leaving blood, sweat, and passion on stages everywhere. Through a strong DIY work ethic and an honest and humble approach to their music and audience, they have been able to gain a supportive fan base and push their sound forward while still holding true to their roots, promising The Redemption Song will continue to deliver hardcore punk without empty hype, but with a revolution of energy and integrity.
