Notes
Red Blue Interlaced was founded by Jeff Vasiloff, who is the singer and writer of the songs. The name, "Red Blue Interlaced" has nothing to do with Red and Blue states of the political world, but rather, refers to a long poem he wrote that has to do with the human condition and personal growth.
The themes of Jeff's songs are love, loss, relationships, the meaning of life, social justice, and humor.
His band mates for the album, many of whom also perform live, include: Molly Pauken on guitar, bass, drums, percussion, mandolin, and banjo; Pete Cary on lead guitars; Kevin Patrick Sweeney on piano, organ, and keyboards; Kevin O'Neill on saxophone and flute; Jenna Vasiloff on background vocals; and Jake Vasiloff on rock drums.
The album title, "Mourns the Innocent" is taken from a line of his song, "Red." The main theme of this album is against injustice in all its forms, both past and present.
This album is dedicated to one of Jeff's best friends, Dr. Dimitri Teague, who has been fighting leukemia for 13 years with unbelievable courage and grace. Jeff is donating all money earned on the downloads to the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, which is a part of The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
