Description
Original Score to the Motion Picture, "An Inconsistent Truth, " a Shayne Edwards film from Epicstar Pictures and ExtryGood Productions. Directed by Shayne Edwards. Written and produced by Phil Valentine.
Notes
"This score for An Inconsistent Truth is phenomenal! It captures the mood of the movie perfectly. Michael Benoit did a fantastic job!" - Phil Valentine, Award Winning Radio Host, and "An Inconsistent Truth" Star and Producer.
"Whereas working with a composer is often a director's worse nightmare ... Michael is the most enjoyable I have ever worked with - not to mention our friendship - because he seasons a film in a way that only he can and I cannot." And the process is so simple between him and me. When he watches a film before he scores it, he has a real talent for just 'understanding' what's going on in the mind of the director". ~ Shayne Edwards, Director.
About the Music...
The score for "An Inconsistent Truth" was composed and produced by Michael Thomas Benoit, Composer, Arranger, and Orchestrator of music for film, stage, and concert hall. Throughout the score, a single musical idea, or "theme," is used and transformed to set the mood for each individual scene, creating a cohesiveness to the entire work. Each scene is tied to the others through the similar theme, while conveying widely different moods and feelings. Musical style varies from one scene to another, ranging from the ominous scoring of "Concerted Chaos", the rock-music setting of the Opening Credits, the whimsy of "Man on the Street," the serenity of "A Conservationist at Heart," the intensity of "Conundrum" and "Too High a Price," and the highly emotional "Poverty in the Name Of..." Together, the score sets the mood and pace for the production as a whole to communicate to both viewer and listener in the best way possible.
*This album includes two bonus tracks not used in the film, "Walk the Walk," and "Man on the Street."
About the Movie, "An Inconsistent Truth"...
From director Shayne Edwards and award-winning radio host Phil Valentine, An Inconsistent Truth takes you along for the ride on one man’s quest for the truth. Many people believe in man-made global warming but they don’t know why. This is one of the most important issues of our day yet the average American knows so very little about what’s really going on. Is that by design? Who stands to make billions off cap-and-trade legislation? Why do those who raise their voices the loudest lead the most wasteful lifestyles? Is carbon dioxide really a pollutant or is it a harmless gas that’s essential to life here on Earth?
This movie is an entertaining, fact-filled odyssey that will have you thinking, cheering and laughing. Phil Valentine goes straight to the experts and so-called experts and demands to know the truth. And the truth just may change your life.
Join Phil as he climbs aboard Bennie the “BioBenz”, a car that runs on biodiesel that Phil makes from used vegetable oil. Phil talks with scientists and politicians and relentlessly pursues an audience with the poster boy of global warming, the man who brought the world An Inconvenient Truth – Al Gore. Phil takes the punches and throws a few himself. He sifts through all the data and hyperbole and distills it down to one easy to understand and fun-filled motion picture.
