Description

This is your favorite new album!

Notes

I'm really excited about the release of my new album, "Leaving Hyannis..." which is available now on CD with a beautiful 8-Panel Book. Digital downloads will be available on my website, CDBaby, iTunes and all that by the end of November, maybe sooner.

I recorded 12 songs with a combined 24 more musicians from the Boston Music Scene. It was a pretty big project for a "Do-It-Yourselfer" like me. The results are worth it, though!

The featured musicians include Dave Lieb (Stained Glass Eye, The Rationales), Ben Knight (The Ben Knight Band), Ken Hickey (O-Positive, The Claptones), Giuseppe Paradiso (Meridian 71, In Momentum), Frank DeFreitas (Stained Glass Eye, Make Lisa Rich), Paul Kochanski and Jim Gambino (The Swinging Steaks), Jim Fitting (Treat Her Right, Session Americana), Joe Kessler (Sundays Well), Bilgehan Tuncer (Stained Glass Eye, Tarkan), Pete Cassani (The Peasants), John Krivit (Audio Engineering Society President-Elect, The Original Scott Damgaard Band), Horn section featuring (Sax Gordon, Rosemary Casey, Brian Paulding and Chris Pawl), Timothy O'Leary, Melanie Carney (Soul Sistah Mel), Bradley Zepko (Sunlea), Kool Karen and James Beattie.

My brother David Damgaard helped write five of the songs and I got songwriting help from Ben Knight, John Krivit, David Howard Faircloth and Joe Wasicka, too. Sherri Kraft did a wonderful job helping to form these songs as well.

With all this help from these greatly talented people, I believe we've put together one really great album from start to finish. There's quite a mix of styles from blues, to Irish sea shanty, Ska, Reggae, Calypso, Chill and Rock and Roll!
