Notes
Assorted Colors contains 19 tracks. Some improvised and some written out note by note. Arrangements are somewhat basic. Track #16, ONLY A FRIEND, is an older work (1995). In 2005 I made some changes to the piano arrangement. I have included the lyrics to this song with the CD.
I like the sound of this CD over my first release (BEFORE SUNSET). For starters I'm recording on the Ultra Shield CD's from Disc Masters..the gloss surface is great! Water proor: smudge proof. They really look great, too. Their manufacturer claims they have a life of 100 years.
I still believe a variety of musical compositions on the same CD is less monotonous. This new CD (Assorted Colors) uses flute, piano, strings, some percussion, horns and other comtemporary instrument sounds. A few pieces have an experimental sound. Not too far out to be classed as industrial or overly atonal. Tracks 15 and 19, are the results of a compositon exercise.
Music creation is a lifetime endever. Each day brings new ideas for new music. Only time is the adversary. So many new electronic devises to work with these days. An endless collection to create new sounds for the ear.
