Description
Expeditions takes its listener on an imaginative voyage around our planet. Through the depths of oceans up to the summits of mountain ranges, where melodic, majestic and beautiful soundscapes meet in a heavy chaotic atmosphere.
Notes
Ocean Districts is a 4 piece instrumental band from Tallinn, Estonia. Their debut album "Expeditions", spanning nine tracks is a creamy blend of prog-metal, crescendo laden atmospheric post-rock and softer ambient passages leading to monumental build ups.
The band started as a one-man side project in 2011, but gradually evolved into a live-band, featuring current and past members of notable Estonian heavyweights such as Horricane, Burn Still, Stem and Goresoerd. Ocean Districts truly show their colors in a live show atmosphere. The visually enhanced album release show in Tallinn was performed to a sold out crowd and the album has since been followed by many positive reviews.
Album was engineered, mixed and co-produced by Margo M. Rindemaa, mastered by Nicholas T. Petersen and designed/photography by Martin Reinberg.
