Notes
Universal Language, Norm Cotone's debut solo CD is a personal look at Norm's life and faith journey. Four years in the making, this scripturally-based collection of songs covers styles in the contemporary Christian genre and more.
This veteran rocker was signed to Capitol Records while part of the Cleveland quintet Rainbow Canyon. The group enjoyed a brief stay in the big show and served as opening act for rock icons Aerosmith, Beach Boys, Joe Walsh & ZZ Top, to name a few.
As a solo artist, Cotone has set his sights on the higher ground with the release of Universal Language. This effort combines a potpourri of writing styles from Lennon and McCartney, to classic soul, to Randy Newman. Navigated by NC's piano/vocals and driven by Nashville's foremost session players, this work is fueled with a passion and pop sensibility that is sure to find a hope-filled place in the ears of even the most discriminating listener.
