Description
The piano takes the center stage as we meet Jack, a man with the ability to steal people's talents in the Original Soundtrack to Imagination Thief, directed by Jeremy and Jemely Jayme.
Notes
Argentine composer and classically-trained violinist, Nicolas Repetto, writes evocative music that supports the moving image. His music has strong roots in the traditional, but Nicolas is no stranger to the strange and usual when it comes to instrumentations and sounds. He incorporates different and unique instruments ranging from discarded metals from junkyards to a fully-versatile string section.
For Imagination Thief, the directors and I decided that the piano was the main instrument of choice. I had to make sure it was featured prominently throughout the film. The main theme was written by Gregory Everett. After Greg gave me permission to use his themes, I was able to mold his theme into a thematic score that tied all the characters together and events together.
A major thank you goes out to Jemely and Jeremy Jayme for choosing me to be their composer for such a dramatic film. Be wary of Jack though, he has his sights on your talent!
