Notes
"Sin Or Salvation" is the first collection of all original music from Mike Doussan since his 2006 debut release "Muse In The Kitchen" that was released under the moniker "West Bank Mike." Recorded to an old 2" tape reel to reel at The Living Room Studio on the west bank of New Orleans, "Sin Or Salvation" boasts big bass and drum sounds that create the foundation for this new release. While each track draws from different influences ranging from rock to funk to country and more, they successfully tie together to create a record that can easily be listened to from beginning to end over and over again. Mike is joined by Mike Barras on drums(Amanda Shaw) and Scott Jackson on Bass(The Upstarts.) Appearances are made by an all star New Orleans cast with Jimmy Carpenter on Sax; Marc Adams, Mike Burkart, Eduardo Tozzatto, and Phil Marquez on keys; Michael Skinkus on Percussion; Morikeba Kouyate on kora; Dwight Breland on pedal steel; the late, great Jamie Galloway on Harmonica; Aaron Wilkinson on BG Vox and mandolin; Sam Price on BG Vox and upright bass; Andre Bohren on bass drum and BG Vox; and Chris Mule, Garland Paul, Lynn Drury, Irene Sage, Miranda Marquez, Zoe Marquez, and Rachel Marquez on BG Vox.
