Notes
A traditional sailing tune, with nostalgic vignettes of a sailor's courtship of a fair young maid. It traces the steps that a young deckhand took to make his lover happy and the trials and tribulation he overcame to do so. The young sailor must have penned this just before he headed out to sea, as the last line implores his lover, "If we prove successful, love, please name it after me!"
