Description

The song is a dialogue between the parents of special-needs children and their maker, their god, the universe, etc.

Notes

Angel Child will become the anthem song that parents and children will sing together worldwide.

The song is a dialogue between the parents of special-needs children and their maker, their god, the universe, etc. ––A conversation with themselves pushing back at life, their situation, life, the confusion, and their children. It’s the parents shouting at the rain, shouting at life, asking hard questions, sharing their frustrations, confusion, and anger about “Why me, this is hard, nobody understands, I feel totally alone, no one is here to help me, I think I am losing it, I can’t keep this up any longer, I need some help, my life is falling apart,” etc.

The song is about the emotions of millions of parents and caregivers of special-needs children (1 in 5 families in the U.S. is reported to have a special-needs child––20% of the adult population). The song reflects these honest emotions, and the massive amount of patience these children require by their caregivers day after day.

The song and corresponding music video will visually tell the story of “a day in the life” of a caregiver of a special-needs child; the anger, anxiety, stress, confusion, on-going frustration, loneliness, and the disbelief parents often feel as they labor to provide the best care and love they know how for the children who are so dear to their hearts. It will also portray the joy that comes from parenting a special-needs child. This song can be the caregiver’s cry for help. It asks the question “who’s teaching whom” and “are you my angel from above?” It is the realization of the love a special-needs child can give without them knowing it. And by singing this song, people will become more open to the magic and wonder of special-needs children and what they can teach us all.
