Description
Piano-based singer-songwriter.
Notes
Stefan Farrenkopf is a piano-based singer/songwriter in Columbus, Ohio. He is the writer and composer of the musicals "Lunch Lady: Tater Tots of Love" and "Beautiful Cul de Sac." "Then Again Very Indeed" is his first solo recording, having recorded previously with the a cappella group Throat Culture as well as the groups Any Questions and Station 14.
Teaming up with producer and bassist Jeff Ciampa, Stefan collected "Then Again Very Indeed" from songs he had written twenty years ago ("Fare Thee Well," written by the crib of his oldest son) to just months before the album's release ("Kitchen Beautiful," a witty look at the failed pursuit of suburban happiness through home renovation.)
Guest musicians include the finest players and singers from the area, including Andy Harrison and Josh Hill on guitars; Tony McClung on drums; Noah Heyman, Haley Schaffer, and Tony Schaffer on harmony vocals; and the debut of Emma Farrenkopf, Stefan's daughter, on harmonies on the plaintiff "Magic Or Miracle." Album design and cover art is by acclaimed artist Amanda Hope Cook. Full credits are below.
Stefan lives in suburban Columbus with his wife and three kids, where he pursues his music when not teaching English.
