Description

Musical journeys and epic soundscapes that will take you into inner space.

Notes

Brother Of Creation brings together all of the epic soundscapes that Tamburo recorded during his Brother Ong phase 2010-2013. Most of these tracks were recorded in one take live on the shahi baaja. There are also tracks recorded on harmonica and guitar. The music contained within goes from delicate beauty to wafts of effected sound. Epic in scope these sounds pulsate and flow bringing the listener into a state of inner reflection and inner journeying.

Brother Of Creation brings together the music Presence, Undercover Brother, Aquarian Summer, Deep Water Vibration, Mysteries Of The Shahi Baaja, Deep Water Vibration, The Architect, The Golden Ray, Ninth Church Of THe Ascended Astronaut and Elenin releases into one collection very spaced out collection.

For the past 18 years, Pittsburgh's Mike Tamburo has relentlessly released records (51 releases and counting) under different names including Brother Ong, Meisha, Arco Flute Foundation, Kukeri, Psychic Frost & various imprints under his own name. He has performed over 700 shows all over the United States, traveling to every nook and cranny, searching for some kind of an understanding of what America truly is. Though always considering himself a multi-instrumentalist, he gained notoriety with his hammered dulcimer and fingerstyle guitar playing and his idiosyncratic use of effects, a style of which Paul Simpson of Foxy Digitalis says "Tamburo truly is a master…creating intricate patterns and textures and generally just sounding incredible".

He is greatly inspired by American folk and minimalist music traditions as well as Indian classical music, but often expands outward to include influences from avant-garde to noise to modern compositional music. A Tamburo performance is always a very transportive and enveloping experience.

Tamburo is also an artist, film maker, writer, instrument builder, curator of the Fantastic Voyagers Festivals, Kundalini Yoga teacher, Sound Healer, gong enthusiast, and inner state researcher; exploring alpha and theta states, floatation tanks, ethnobotany, orgone energy, and ecstatic states of being. He also runs the Sounds Eternal and New American Folk Hero labels, which continue to release an eclectic roster of creative and experimental musics.
