Listen, I've been toiling away for YEARS on this music, and it's finally seeing the light of day sorta/kinda/maybe/I guess/in-a-way in the bright and mysterious outside world, the real world, the world outside my small high-set basement window. How strange. What to say? This here Extended Play includes some jams, one or two of which may or may not in current or altered form appear on a forthcoming album proper entitled A Simple Story Simply Told. Why, why, why? The point or reason or need for this to be done - it's really basic, really. No, really. I just wanna make music I would like to listen to. See, Nirvana was (of course) the reason I picked up a guitar, Sonic Youth was the reason I broke my first electric guitar, and Smashing Pumpkins was the reason I learned to actually play guitar. Then there's this other Nine Inch Nails/Ministry/Aphex Twin/Boards of Canada side, which explains the Casios and beatboxes and all that nonsense/hooey/jazz. Finally, there's the Nick Drake/Joseph Arthur/Mark Kozelek songwriting vibe to boot. A heady brew-ha-ha ha. See? Quite simple, really. Anyhoooo, I've been playin' a lot around New Jersey of late.
