Notes
The Rippey Laments is the 2012 release by author and artist Mark Todd. These short narratives are sketches based on two down-on-their-luck characters, Ethel and Henry, their exploits and encounters. Ethel is the victim of a bogus medical experiment to shorten the length of her arms, and Henry is caught by his own obsessions for the extraction of teeth and murder.
The accompaniment is sparse, crudely played. The vocals express the angst and tension of an animal caught in a trap.
