Description
An instrumental experiment with its dark combination of sounds blurs the lines between several genres.
Notes
"Taciturn Manifestation" is an instrumental experimentation. The album name reflects the fact that there are no distracting lyrics contained on any of the songs which forces the listener to take a deeper look into the sound of the music. Once you begin to hear the music for itself, the atmosphere that each song creates will start to manifest. Entranced by the sounds that slowly encompass your being, you will become lost in an unfamiliar musical world. With the end result in mind, the songs say more than words ever could.
Along with the main title, the concept of the album is also centered on that which lacks a direct and focused message. What resides beyond the realm of human understanding is vague and open to interpretation so the songs relate to what can't be easily explained or quantified. Those that have the ability to go beyond face value and read deeper into that which is presented can see things that others can't. It is like a necromancer communicating with what lies beyond. It could be like a distant apparition that only you can see or a voice only you can hear. Each song is about creating something or seeing something that is unique and different from what others may experience or describe.
Musically, I don't claim to be great. I am still just learning the art. These songs usually start from nothing more than structured improvisation. As more elements are added, the songs morph into different creations with some being more structured than others. At its heart, this sound is little more than one or a few people picking up musical instruments and messing around. I understand that this type of music is not going to make you rich and it is not going to make you famous. Setting out with that as a goal will only scare you away from taking a creative chance anyway. I just want to make something unique, grow from it, and improve upon it. Thanks for checking out this page and bio- if you actually cared enough to read down this far then you are awesome. I have to also say thanks to my friend Ryan. Even though this is mostly my solo work- he wrote and recorded "Illusions", provided some didgeridoo, guitar, and hang-drum playing, as well as co-wrote " Afterlife" and "The Creation". I look forward to jamming some more in the future.
Thanks and cheers to all you other musicians out there,
Brandon
