Description
A folksy, electronica album by the daughter of Acappella Music Legend Keith Lancaster. Harkens to that a cappella sound with rich harmonies and catchy tunes.
Notes
Melissa Lancaster is an award winning producer and owner of Durant studios in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. She grew up on the road singing with her father, Keith Lancaster, and sang in Acappella Children until she was fifteen. While still in high school, her band Purple Tunic was a finalist for the 1997 Gospel Music Association Awards. Most recently, she has been nominated for Producer of the Year by the Musician Choice Awards.
She also wrote the song “Broken,” which was awarded Song of the Year by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America in 2000, and she produced the album Real for AVB, which was awarded Album of the Year. She also engineered the CASA album of the year "Radiance" by Acappella. She was an original member of X-Changed and now produces the high school groups Fourth Watch and Namesake.
When Melissa is not singing, producing, recording, writing or performing, she has a passion for seeing people come to health. After being cured naturally of stomach cancer when she was sixteen she devoted much of her time to learning all about naturopathic medicines and natural healing through nutrition. She is also pursuing her Naturopathic Doctor degree.
Melissa travels to various churches and conducts health seminars. She just finished writing her new health book which is an eye opening revelation for those new to the ideas of healing diseases through natural health
