Melanie Hosp is a young Austrian professional guitarist with numerous successes at national and international guitar competitions. Her debut solo album “como el agua” is a powerful mix of classical, Latin American music and jazz. Her musical career was strongly formed and supported by Dr. Stefan Hackl at the Tyrolian Conservatory and Alvaro Pierri at the Vienna University of Music and Dramatic Arts, where she graduated with honors respectively. In 2012 she won an award for a scholarship from the renowned Dr. Robert and Lina Thyll Dürr Foundation and she is a member of the “Live Music Now” organization founded by Yehudi Menuhin. Melanie Hosp teaches classical guitar in Linz and Vienna and regularly performs in both solo and chamber music concerts in Austria and also internationally, for example at the Cesky Krumlov Festival/Czech Republic and in China, Taiwan, Germany....
