Description
Limited Edition. With a nostalgic 90s rock feel, this tour souvenir album takes the listener from places of empowerment to sorrow, and everywhere in between.
Notes
"If you like a rockpop sound, with good chorus hooks, and a nice sound from good musicians, by all means check her out."

"I have heard many lead vocals in my time where some I have liked and some I have not, Meghan has vocals in which I admire. Her vocals can range from a soft rock to a high pitched female rock attitude. What makes this album unique is the fact that the album was made in support of a mini tour that Meghan did on her way to a wedding. There are only a few that were printed off so I would advise picking up your copy as soon as possible"

Bio and The Creation of Dara's Wedding Tour Souvenir CD
Following the passing of her grandmother (and musical idol) in 2005, Meghan felt compelled to start casually sharing the lyrics she had been suppressing as a closet songwriter while pursuing training in other career paths. This decision prompted the formation of Purl of Surf, the band she and her brother co-founded in St. Catharines, but truly developed in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada from 2006-2008.
During the days of Purl of Surf, Meghan was also succeeding with her academic training in the Master of Arts - Applied Health Sciences program at Brock University, but struggling to find true happiness in said pursuit. When it was learned that her brother would be returning to the East Coast (where they grew up and still call 'home'), the decision was made to record an album that summer of 2008 in order to immortalize their time together in music. At the same time, Meghan was faced with making a decision about what to do with her life upon graduating in the fall. With potential opportunities to pursue doctoral studies in Canada and abroad; love, by relocating to the UK to be with her (then) significant other; or the band, by moving home with her brother, Meghan's heart, seemingly irrationally, decided on music… but in Toronto…. and as a solo artist.
The following spring, while trying to simultaneously gain her bearings and a steady income in Toronto, she learned of her cousin's wedding that would be taking place that summer. With a burning desire to attend the event and see her family again, but no funding for the transportation to get there, Meghan came up with the idea of Dara's Wedding Tour; a musical adventure that, out of necessity, became a busking excursion whereby she could earn money and share her music along the way. So that she wouldn't have to rely solely on donations and the odd paying gigs, Meghan created the souvenir CD to take with her on the road. Six of the eight songs were drawn from Batteryless But Filmfull (the currently unreleased Purl of Surf CD), while the other two 'bonus tracks' were recorded by Meghan herself in her studio apartment for the purposes of the tour CD. The album artwork was also created by Meghan by playing with a photo she took of her bass (her primary performance instrument) in her shower and was printed on FSC certified cover stock by a Bullfrog powered print shop.
Because this was a unique type of tour, she has decided to make the physical album a limited edition in order to retain the special nature of the CD, but will make it perpetually available as a digital download. Expect a full length 'sophomore' album in the spring of 2010.
