I was thrilled to get my first song publishing contract my first day in Nashville in 1976. I've had many cuts since then over the years, some of them on major label artists such as Conway Twitty, Randy Travis, Marie Osmond, The Chuck Wagon Gang, Moe Bandy and Joe Stampley, and others. But the songs on Rough Cut Gems, for whatever reason, have never been recorded until now. I think each and every one of these songs should get a chance to get heard by you, the listening public, so I've recorded and released them myself. Please keep in mind that these are demoes. I will put this CD up against any singer/songwriter's CD as far as the quality of the songwriting is concerned. I put 23 songs on this CD to give you the most value for your money and I really hope you enjoy owning Rough Cut Gems.
