emo love rock

LIR is a Moscow-based emo-love-rock band. It was created in 1999 on the threshold of the millennium. They released 5 albums, participated in many festivals and played hundreds of gigs. We can even call them the godfathers of the Russian love metal, as since 2002 they have been headlining all Russian HIM-parties. Many times during its existence the band changed its members, broke up, disappeared and again rose from the ashes.
LIR have always been devoted to rock’n’roll: - drinking-bouts, riots, sex, sticky gossips. Recognition and disappointments always followed LIR. They have a love-hate relationship with the public but one thing is obvious - every performance of the band is always impressive and unforgettable. Songs of the group became life and death for their fans. Their music is melodious ballads and supersonic hits, melancholic love-metal and scream-core.
CD “Nation of the Black-Hearted” is the 5th album of this well-known band. Even if you don’t know Russian you can feel a fantastic sound of their music and get into catchy rhythm.

Members of the band FOREVA:
Sergey ‘LIR’ Shklovsky - vocals
Sergey ‘Shira’ Shirokov - bass
Alexandr Miheev - guitars
Alexey Matorin - drums

City of Angels (2000)
