Notes

LisaBe is currently a solo artist, writing, recording, performing and mixing her own music in the genres of post punk, epic, industrial, gothic, rock, alternative, ambient, alien, strange, or whatever she feels at the moment.
Her present album "Waking Sleep" is a conceptual album written with a purpose reflecting various states of mind and consciousness in the genres of sci fi, post punk, epic, industrial, alternative, gothic, psychological, philosophical and spiritual. Some songs tell a Sci fi-ish or otherworldly epic story.

"Contactees" is a bit industrial and gothic sounding and comes from the perspective of a being who has been around since the dawn of time and is viewing the state of the human condition with it's wars, negativity, etc. and wondering how it can change. Perhaps it can change by spreading about a nanobyte infection that will change the state of human consciousness... She keeps repeating "Remember Yourself" Perhaps that is another way to change the state of human consciousness (for each person to become self aware) since humans keep repeating the same mistakes with war and religion and the powers that be repeatedly over time.

"Goddess Inanna" is an epic song from the perspective of a goddess who existed to the ancient Sumerians. LisaBe is singing in ancient Sumerian in the beginning and middle of the song. She found translations of ancient Sumerian texts where Inanna is speaking. Much of her lyrics in Goddess Inanna are Goddess Inannas actual words or translations.

"Everything's Connected" sees the large view of The Universe and all within it and it's interconnectedness.

"Higher Emotion" is a moving, soft yet rhythmic song which portrays a state of heart and being that occurs when one is introduced to another human who has reached a clear, self awareness that lightens and raises the level of being to those one is in contact with.

"I Lost Myself" has a gothic rock edge and is a search for ones being and inner I that leads one to ones higher self.

"Interval" represents the state one can get into when one is not feeling connected to anything and has reached an interval and feels lost almost to the point of madness.

"Interval Shock" portrays the state of mind one can get into when one gets so tired of feeling lost one becomes frantic to the point of becoming manic.

"Dying to Live" is a soft flowing song about an addicted and abused woman dying on the street alone while observers are wondering what her last thoughts might be and if she is even conscious of them.

"Shadowalker explores that feeling of being electrically alive, and self aware. The state one reaches where one wishes to be on an even keel with other spiritual beings.

"Homeless Man" represents one who has accepted whatever comes along in a state of grace while seeing worlds within worlds with metaphorical understanding.

If you are looking into the deeper aspects of life and of the human condition in both in it's darkness and it's light, this album is one you will want to take the time to listen to.
Past Biography

LisaBe has been writing music for years digging deeply into the state of the human condition. Starting in Seattle, she and Neva Chonin who called their selves "The Prudish Groupies" and would get backstage passes to meet the bands and she thought "I don't want to be a groupie, I want to be in the band!" After hanging out with Upchuck and other Seattle musicians at the time she and Chuck decided to head to L.A. After checking out the scene down there they came back and Lisa went on to San Francisco. Lisa and a couple of friends from Seattle met Jello Biaffra of the Dead Kennedys at the Bagel shop on Polk Street and they decided to rent a flat together in the Mission District. With all the inspiration and buzz going around the punk/metal,new wave, early goth scene it was hard not to feel the spirit of the age. Lisa picked up a guitar and began writing. She found others interested in forming a band and formed the band, Tanks. Tanks played all over San Francisco and Berkeley. Lisa was singing, songwriting, playing keyboards and synths in Tanks. She began to acquire guitar fever so she quit the band and joined up with Rachel Thoele, Lula Perla and Anne Crawford to form the all female band GOD. They called their music Psychotic rock. They were one of the wildest female bands around at the time exploring the darker sides of the human psyche and played shows with the Dead Kennedy's, Flipper, Black Flag, Wilma, Indoor Life, Red Cross, The Wounds, Toiling Midgets, The Mutants and many others. When Anne Crawford passed away it was hard to find someone to fill her shoes and they disbanded.
LisaBe decided to leave to San Francisco to stay with friends where she met Jello Biafra and rented a flat with he and others. She joined up with Susan Miller and Mark Bowen and formed Tanks but left the group to write songs and formed another band called G.O.D. an all female band which consisted of Rachel Thoele, Lula Perla, Anne Crawford and LisaBe.
LisaBe left for Arcata, California and met up with Cynde Gehman whom she joined up with. They both wrote their own songs and played on each others music and in various clubs around town as well as downtown Eureka. They auditioned in front of about 100 business people and the city of Eureka and were hired to play in old town during the summer. Their music was a mix of rock, gypsy, folk, and punk.
Later on she met Billy Moore and joined up with Andy Banaskiewicz and formed Thundercloud where she played bass and recorded Andy's songs as well as her own at Big Band studios in Loleta, California.
After deciding to move up north to be closer to her family she met Josh Tisdale, Jason Gorss and Derek Hensley and they formed Degradationzero, a rhythmic, metal band.
