Description

L.I.E. is a John Woo movie in musical form.

Notes

Failure. Everyone's experienced it. Literally no one in this world goes through life unscathed.

From their beginnings in 2001, L.I.E. has commented on the failures in the world - society's failures, individual failures, and their own personal failures. Luckily there have been so many, they have not been at a loss for songwriting fodder.

Tim Lyons and Adam Tramposh (bass) began a project in 2001, quickly adding to their ranks Dustin Banbury and Adam Crain (drums). After a long, exhausting search for a lead vocalist, Lyons took up the vocal reigns himself, giving the band a unique melodic sound. Tramposh left in late 2002.

Directly thereafter, they recorded the "Ruins" EP (released April 18th, 2003). The EP was hailed by critics, and the band was said to be "...highly deserving of a multi-album contract on a major label." (MidwestMetal.info). The single, "The Devil Within," received modest airplay on KQRC 98.9FM.

Fast forward to 2005.

"Die Trying," the groups second independent effort, is an 11 track offering featuring more in both directions - more intensity, and more melody. It will be available November 8th via the band's website, and in many online and practical retailers shortly thereafter. With such tracks as "Leech," "Falling Down," "Hell at Home," "Death From Above," and the title track (featuring ex-Black Label Society drummer Phil Ondich), this album is loaded, locked, and ready to dispatch the competition in true L.I.E. fashion.
