Description
The debut album by Tokyo rock band Looprider. An album which fuses the sounds of Black Sabbath, My Bloody Valentine and Smashing Pumpkins with a Japanese rock/pop sensibility to create an edgy, rocking, wall-of-sound experience.
Notes
Looprider is a rock band based in Tokyo, Japan.
Recorded in late 2014, the band’s first album, “My Electric Fantasy,” brings a new sound to Koenji, Tokyo-based record label, Call And Response Records, which has put out releases from a wide range of underground artists from various genres and scenes across the country, including Hyacca, Zibanchinka and Hysteric Picnic. The album combines the sounds of bands like Black Sabbath, My Bloody Valentine and Smashing Pumpkins, blending them together with a J-rock/pop sensibility.

Other guests include vocalist Sachiko Fukuda and guitarist Koichi “Niiyan” Niizato of London and Tokyo-based noise pop duo Umez, former drummer for Nogashita Sakana, Takumi Bennett Aoki, and Charlotte, former vocalist of art punk group Merpeoples.
