Notes

Lodoublet (pronounced ell-oh-double-tea) is an MC/Producer from Wisconsin USA. Growing up on hair/thrash/death metal and finding a home in the punk scene as a teenager, Lodoublet was the last person you'd picture grabbing a mic and becoming an MC. After an 8 year run singing, songwriting, and playing guitar in punk bands (toxic shock/the dpns), Lodoublet decided to trade in his half stack for a drum machine. Within a week he was making his own rap beats and writing filthy rhymes to go over them. An exceptionally good cipher at a keg party motivated Lodoublet to start focusing all of his musical talent towards hip hop. In the winter of 2004, Lodoublet released his first full length hip hop album, "MURDER BEATS". Through hosting a string of hip-hop events he started getting a decent size following in his local music scene. He recorded "THE MIDWEST BREEDERS MIXTAPE," released in 2006 and trading verses with various "mc's" he met along the way, with all beats, recording, mixing, and production by Lodoublet. The next release was an ep of sorts called "THE PUMPKIN ISLAND" in 2007. It was a recreation of a Lodoublet live set, plus a couple of old favorites and some unreleased songs. Included in some copies was a dvd titled "THE ROBOT FILES", three home movies put together by Lodoublet himself. In 2008 Lodoublet & Muddy Puddles released "HOEDOWN AT THE ROBOT FARM", all beats and production by Lodoublet and cuts by Muddy Puddles. A crazy amount of shows later Lodoublet released the second MIDWEST BREEDERS mixtape called "NEVERMIND THE ROBOTS" in the winter of 2009. More shows, Red Bulls, and band drama later Lodoublet released "ROBOTS, ALIENS, SHEEP, AND SWINE", with production help and cuts from Muddy Puddles on a couple tracks, cuts by JB ILL, and verses from MUFF 7, and DERILL POUNDS. In 2010 work on Lodoublet’s next record “PRETTY DEAD” began. The new record, out on Phatbrim's Tax Parade Records features the lyrical acrobatics and sonic bombast fans expect. In 2012 Lodoublet joined forces with performance artist/dancer Mandie Savage to create a new visual spectacle behind the “PRETTY DEAD” project called “THE GOSPEL.” In 2013 Lodoublet embarked on his first tour sweeping the eastern U.S. with “THE GOSPEL”, as the conceptualization for "PRETTY DEAD" grew. Along his journey Lodoublet has played with a variety of artists, including DasEFX, Kosha Dillz, Mac Lethal, Pigeon John, Raashan Ahmad, Spose, Vison the Kid, Carnage the Executioner, Prof, SoulCrate Music, DJ SKU, Cam Groves, Deuce Ellis, Rusty P’s, Ecid, Radix, Coolzey, DJ Rare Groove, The Crest, Black Pegasus, Akream, The Pluto Moons, Lipstick Homicide, Tenement, and many other talented musicians.
