About the artists...

Whipple & Morales are two of the world’s foremost piano entertainers. With their motto, “From Bach to Rock,” the duo has performed on concert stages, cruise ships and other venues around the world for over a quarter of a century. They produce two annual music festivals, “Gala For Two Pianos” in Miami, Florida, and “Cranberry Coast Concerts” on the south coast of Massachusetts.

Whipple & Morales tour the world with a wide variety of other acts. “Mr. Showmanship! A Sparkling Grand Tribute to Lee Liberace” features Kirk (a.k.a. “Walter Whipple”) in the role of the 20th century’s greatest showman. In this show, Marilyn is the music director and kicks off a conga line in the role of Carmen Miranda.

The Unconservatory Festival Orchestra ~ or The U.F.O. ~ is a Latin / jazz fusion group that the duo formed in 2004. This group, which has toured in locations throughout the United States, won Whipple a Florida State Individual Artist Fellowship for his original works on The U.F.O. debut CD entitled “Danzas Para Dos Pianos y Orquesta” (“Dances For Two Pianos & Orchestra”).

In 2006 Whipple & Morales joined forces with pianists Frédéric Chauvel and Mark Solé-Lerís as The United Nations Piano Quartet. The UNPQ has toured together in Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, the Ukraine, the French Riviera and villages throughout the French Alps.

Born in Houma, Louisiana, Kirk has also toured the world as pianist for the Harry James Orchestra under the direction of Fred Radke. Marilyn, a native of Cuba, performed as a soloist in Cuba, Spain, Miami and Boston before meeting Kirk. In 1988 the two met at a piano competition in Portland, Maine and have been performing together ever since. They were married on stage in 1992, performing a piece they wrote for two pianos and orchestra.
