Central Washington's 2 HEADED CHANG is rapidly becoming an unstoppable force in the Northwest metal scene. From the fun and sexual energy of early 80's rock, to the aggressive, hardcore attitude of death metal, to the catchiness of mainstream rock, 2 HEADED CHANG blends these elements with an infectious enthusiasm. Being critical fans themselves since childhood and having seen the progression in heavy music from the beginning, the band noticed that with every breakthrough something always got left behind. Inspired by bands like PANTERA, CANNIBAL CORPSE, SUICIDAL TEDENCIES, etc. 2 HEADED CHANG set out to bring aggression, integrity, and a solid groove to the mainstream audience. Their debut album "Dead City Rodeo" shatters the diluted standards of American pop metal by creating a middle ground between hardcore metal and radio friendly rock.

"Dead City Rodeo" is an album replete with anthems full of mayhem and melody, poignant lyrics and unbeatable breakdowns. "We try to keep everything fresh because we're instant gratification junkies. You don't want to have to wait to get laid, or wait to get loaded, why should you have to wait for the best part of the song?" Signature tracks like "Inches", "Rhetoric", and "Goodbye" invoke a sense of rebellion and a positive call to action. Constant progress is always a part of the "Changsta" tradition. New material is always being created and refined to continually challenge themselves and feed their ever-growing army of fans.

Formed in Ellensburg, a small hick town outside of Seattle, 2 HEADED CHANG began as a project between friends and members of another local band. Instantly there was a concrete musical connection. 2HEADEDCHANG's rhythm section keeps a solid groove that anyone, not just metal fans can get drawn into. Rodney "this is not an open container" Turner's Latin influenced drumming is wrapped up with a solid low end from bassist Adam "Cock Rock" DeBock. Guitarists Coleman "Lucius Ego" Thornburg and Hartley "Boo Boo" Brown bring intense riffing saturated with "old school" influence. 2 HEADED CHANG's vocalist and guttural noise maker Kurt "Sparkles" Caron sports a unique vocal style that rounds out the band's undeniable character. A strange friendship grew with the music into a mutant family of assholes with a contagious sense of humor. "Fun is always a factor in our band. Yeah we write pissed off music, but we're not so self absorbed that our attitude alienates the fans." Their open "family" mentality has enabled them to open for such acts as Fishbone, Five Foot Thick, Andrew W.K., Ozzfest '02, and Warped Tour '02. They co-headlined Washington's Monsters of Metal, and Moto X Fest 2003.

Everywhere 2 HEADED CHANG goes they bring a sense of belonging to something untouchable. Underground appeal and extreme fan loyalty have already made "Dead City Rodeo" the top selling album in their area. "I've NEVER sold this many copies of an independent artist in such a short amount of time" - Mark Pickerel (Dark Fantastic, Screaming Trees, owner Rodeo Records)
