Notes

In this album, was a few actual compositions, however, the notes just came up on the page, and I put it together, and a song was born. I really can't analyze it anymore than this. New City was composed, as our world is changing into new structures so are new cities being born. There is a part 1 and a part 2. Part 1 is shorter than part 2, but basically still the same.
Early Spring was also composed, simple but unfolding after a long winter, and things start to come alive again, an awakening is the word I like to describe this song.
Dedicated to Moondance is a channeled piece, and once again, looking through photos, he spoke to me, even though this special cat is long gone. This piece is as describable as the cat was, and there is a section of it that changes as the fate the cat's life did, like "uh oh" something is coming down. This cat just disappeared one night, never to return. This song is dedicated to Moondance. It's a little sad, but at times slinky like a cat can be, and proud as a cat, especially this particular one, who would stand tall at the front door guarding the house.
Spirit Walker, how did I come up with that, also a channeled piece, that reflects the teachings of Moondance, and the life and path of a spirit walker, often alone, and tested, and filled with the trials of life to teach others, a moving piece.
Wild Horses, channeled, however, I loved this piece so much, I could play it again again. Inspired by my own horse and the journeys and lessons that were taught to me, and the call of all wild horses and their struggle towards freedom and abuse. Wild Horses are playful, adventurous, and spirited, and running at times from danger. This piece has a lot of power to it, as I vision a band of wild horses with me when I need strength.
Indigo was a series of minor chords and played in arppegio style. It reminded me of the color Indigo, and I saw this color while listening to it, also thought of the misty fall, and early grey winter. Symbolic of Indigo children, and their sensitivity to vibration. The album is good for relaxation, movement, or yoga, and is creative and brings out emotion and release at times. This is my second published cd. I started composing the songs a year ago, I have no idea what I will name the songs until after I've played them and listened to them for awhile. I knew that I wanted New City to be the title of the cd, and of course it's one of the first songs. These group of songs are at times moving, and deep, and expressive, perhaps not as dark as my first cd, and maybe a bit more polished, and composed. I hope one day to perform live, in the meantime, this music will inspire you.
