Notes

Born and raised in Hollywood, California in music filled home where mother and sister played Chopin and Rachmaninof on piano. Started playing classical guitar after hearing Julian Bream\'s first album of Bach pieces. Moved on to steel and electric guitars during sixties and seventies, and finally to keyboards. Played many years and gigs with my \"Hollywood Legend\" musician brother - Craig Welton - see craigwelton.com. See also www.panditpressmusic.com for my synth programming activities and products.

A GrIndie Award is RadioIndy\'s stamp of approval that this CD is an excellent quality CD. RadioIndy is pleased to present Kent Welton with a GrIndie award for his CD Relatively Gone... a pacifying collection of jazz instrumentals. Soothing and graceful best describe these free-flowing compositions... All in all, Kent consistently delivers great mind-easing jazz and easy-listening songs with Relatively Gone.

Acoustic Mechanic by Kent Welton, a skilled classical guitarist, has brought you his talents on this CD in the form of songs that feature much more than guitar. Kent\'s impressive guitar work certainly stands on it\'s own on this CD. In addition the CD features passionate strings, airy synths, and wonderful piano work. The beautiful arrangements very effective meld various acoustic instruments, to provide each song a subtle life of it\'s own. \"Night in Seville\" leads off the album and sets the tone with a beautifully arranged and executed guitar piece. \"\"Morning Chamber\" is a wonderful string arrangement and is undoubtedly an anthem to the beauty of a new day. \"A Flutish Fancy,\" starts with a dark intensity and blooms into a fantasy-like movement. If you enjoy classical and new age music, you\'ll enjoy this CD.-

"Few other players could put together a collection of songs that include classical ("Variation on a Karma"), Cool Jazz (Walkin' To Nowhere") classic rock ("Its So Wrong"), and singer-songwriter fare (China Lady"), but Welton covers all of these bases - and even a few more... Ah, but when the man rests his vocal chords and concentrates on playing the guitar instead, its a thing of true beauty. The way he works his way through the classical "Danza Viveta" is a lovely thing, indeed. His nimble fingers work up and down the fretboard like a true master."
Dan Macintosh, New Indie-Music Reviews
