Description
Schooled in the classic rock tradition, Knights of Crisis serve up a tasty mix of fresh, original blues-rock. "Knight Job" is a guitar-driven celebration a la Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Grateful Dead, Little Feat and others.
Notes
Based out of central Illinois, Knights of Crisis formed when a few members of the band met while attending a function at their children's school. What started as an excuse to play some music, and drink a few, has grown into some serious fun. Knights of Crisis now play shows across the mid-west, and have played concerts and festivals with classic rock legends such as Little Feat, Blue Oyster Cult, The Guess Who, Rare Earth, and more. Find out what the excitement's all about with new Knights of Crisis CD - "Knight Job".
The Knights are:
Joe Blaney, guitar and vocals: Joe spent many years working as a radio personality including stints at stations in Boston and St. Louis. Now Joe teaches during the day and plays music at night. The way Joe tells it, UFO's had something to do with him finding his way to the Knights of Crisis.
Jim Dougan, bass, guitar, vocals, and harmonica: Jim grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where he was deeply involved in the music scene even as a teenager. For example, he once cooked dinner for the Wilson sisters of "Heart" while working in a Seattle restaurant. Now transplanted to the midwest, Jim's day job involves torturing psychology students and other small animals at Illinois Wesleyan University.
Doug Drilling, guitar: Doug's bluesy guitar takes him away from his work down on "The Farm".
Damian Marmion, guitar and bass: Damian "Shred" Marmion is originally from Champaign/Urbana Illinois. Before joining the Knights, Damian played in a band that toured with Nazareth. When Damian isn't playing guitar he likes to fly airplanes.
Red Miller, keyboards and vocals: Our keyboard player is a Massachusetts native now transplanted to Illinois. Before joining the Knights, Red recorded and performed both as a solo artist and with bands based in New England and Southern California.
Jason Lied, drums: Jason is from Peoria, Illinois. He likes Skittles and long walks on the beach. He hopes to work in television after graduating from Illinois State University's Mass Communication program.
