CHUCK LAMB, pianist & composer, co-founded the group DRY JACK, with which he released two internationally acclaimed albums of his music & was cited in THE ROLLING STONE HISTORY OF MUSIC. Joining forces with vocalist & composer THEANO, who was named best jazz musician for ‘93 in Westword Arts Weekly and was presented by the NYC Women’s Jazz Coaltion as a remarkable new jazz artist. THEANO & CHUCK LAMB have produced nine albums of their original music & five recording compilations including solo piano, standards & seasonal. THEANO & CHUCK LAMB (& the stellar musicians that enhance their music), have garnered global acclaim for their unique & beautiful recordings as well as their inspired live performances, with accolades for creativity & expertise from DOWNBEAT, BILBOARD, KEYBOARD, CADENCE, N Y TIMES, New York POST & the LA TIMES ... the Rocky Mountain NEWS named As Above So Below, their third CD together, as the best self-produced CD of the year - 1994. Their music is eclectic, fusing world rhythms with varied styles -based in improvisation, wth the spirit & roots of jazz at the core. They conduct vocal and rhythm workshops. They welcome commissions to write/record music for films, DVDs, pets, people, places & events. CHUCK LAMB is currently, for 7 years, the touring pianist for the BRUBECK BROTHERS QUARTET with whom he released the CD, Classified, on the Koch label in 2008.
