An expansive collection of music, ranging from blues to folk to serious rock, all of it inventive, creative and fun.

1. Smooth
Funky Rhythms, with an edgy guitar solo: the first song on this CD that I listened to and thought "Wow."

2. Soulfire
This song was a true experiment for me. I deliberately pushed myself towards more of a hard edged rock feel for it.

3. Clouds
Probably the first experiment I did with flute sounds. Very freeform

4. Nebraska
This was the first piece I tried using orchestral sounds. To me, it has a very cinematic feel

5. Open Road
Very "folksy" tune, with a fairly traditional bluegrass style rhythm part.

6. Russia
This piece uses scales that don't occur much in pop music these days, but were common in Eastern European folk music

7. Simplify
I wanted to try a piece that forced me to slow down a bit. I tend to be a bit of a speed demon, so trying something that pushed me to work at a slower tempo was a good challenge

8. Timescape
This piece feels like it belongs in quite a few different decades, hence the name

9. Riverside
This is a fairly direct blues tune, but somewhere I got tired of putting the word "blues" in the title of songs, so instead of calling this "Riverside blues" I just swapped it for "Riverside."

10. High Tide
One of my other orchestral experiments. It reminds me of rolling waters and changing tides.

11. Landscape
This piece feels like kind of a map to me, covering multiple points of view and perspectives, walking through multiple instruments trading parts.

12. Old Stone Castles
This piece, to me, calls back to music from medieval times, even though it has a very modern feel.

13. Rain
The speed of the guitar solo on this reminds me of falling rain.

14. Hindsight
This piece is a look back on freeform jazz styles I used to listen to when I was much younger.

15. Downtown
High blues.

16. Wanderlust
This piece feels to me like travel: moving about and changing its place throughout the entire story

17. Canyons
The wide, open, feel of this piece reminds of some of the time I've spent hiking canyons in New Mexico

18. Sunset
This piece feels like closing time to me-- packing up for the day and heading home.
