Description
A dirty blend of hard rock and electronica. The FM Cops are go!
Notes
Don't forget to check out the Chopper Girl Mix and LA Mix of this great track!
'On his latest single, “FM Cops,” Gwynaire pounds the pedal to the floor and accelerates into the furthest reaches of his imagination. Combining progressive rock with ‘60s psychedelia and electronica, Gwynaire produces a pulsating soundtrack for the senses; the track leaps from the speakers with wild abandon, enveloping the room in surround sound. Blaring sirens and fuzzy riffs illustrate a vision of a police chase; the song’s quick pace portrays the breathless speed of the automobile. The revved-up engine takes a futuristic turn with the icy rhythms of Gwynaire’s synthesizers. There’s a retro vibe to the keyboards here, reminiscent of vintage Gary Numan but also the Doctor Who theme. Nevertheless, it’s contemporary, too, with a pummelling backbeat that recalls the Chemical Brothers in their prime. Unlike many techno singles, there is a smoothness to “FM Cops” that creates greater accessibility. Gwynaire’s jazz sensibilities are evident here, providing a melodic undertow to the sonic chaos.'
