"THIS IS MYSPACE"

"THIS IS MYSPACE": Is the Debut Release CD, on the YDM Music Factory Label. It showcases the refreshing sound and outstanding vocals of Jackie Smith and YDM (Once dubbed as Houston's best kept secret). Well, the secret is out and this group of 32 youth and young adults are coming in the Gospel View.

The title alone invites you to get a copy and open it up, and when you do, you will find selections that will appeal to gospel music listeners of all ages. From the smooth jazz sound of the title cut to the hand clapping, foot stomping traditional, "Glad About It" to "He Is", an urban contemporary track and everything in between. You will be blessed by the music "ministry" of Jackie Smith and YDM.

Their accomplishments are many in their brief four year history. They have made two appearances on Bobby Jones Gospel which have aired on The Word Network. They have shared the gospel stage with mainstream artist such as Lecresia Campbell, Edwin and Walter Hawkins, Bishop Carlton Pearson, The Chicago Mass Choir and Shekinah Glory. Their gospel accolades include: choir of the year, director of the year and new artist of the year; the community choir of the year, all presented by the Texas Gospel Excellence Awards.

Travel abroad for this young choir includes: Atlanta, Georga, New Orleans and Shreveport, Louisiana, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, Texas Nashville, Tennessee, Miami Beach, Florida, a Texas tour to promote the 2006 recording of "This Is MySpace" and they recently returned home from a whirlwind four days, five concert summer tour to Shreveport, Louisiana; Dalton and Atlanta, Georgia, to promote their project. They have been invited to go to London, England in October 2013.

This young singing aggregation is "More Than Just a Choir" as they continue to do community projects such as after school tutorials and "Operation Cover-Up", where they donate blankets to area nursing homes and homeless shelters in Houston and "BackPacks To School", where they donated150 backpacks, stuffed with school supplies for students in Wharton, Dayton, Baytown and Houston, Texas.

They are impacting the gospel music industry with the release of "This is MySpace" as well as influencing the city of Houston as young leaders of tomorrow.
