Notes
Kaz Kyzah, an Oakland bred emcee and one of the founders of The Team (Northern California’s most popular rap group) has contributed to a new wave of music that transcends the San Francisco Bay Area.
An artist with natural musical ability, Kaz crashed through the doors of adversity after serving prison time. While in Susanvville, Kaz learned the fundamentals of music and song writing. As he perfected his craft, he was inspired to write the 2004 hit Getting Hot In Here. Other hits, such as On One, Hyphy Juice and Jus Go, soon followed.
Kaz’s career success is a result of a special recipe: hard work, creativity and entrepreneurship. Kaz records everyday, making sure that completed projects include only his best songs. He was the first to pioneer a different type of rap style in the Bay – a delivery that is simultaneously smooth, laidback and forceful.
Kaz is one of the founders of Hyphy Juice, the Bay Area’s premier energy drink. He founded Mogul Media Group, which provides consulting and development services for recording artists. Kaz also co-hosts KMEL’s The Mansion Show, an adult oriented radio show that reaches hundreds of thousands of people every Saturday night.
Kaz Kyzah has proven himself a Bay Area hit maker, releasing three albums - The Team, Negro League and World Premier - and classic, heavily downloaded mixtapes such as The Go-Fessional (hosted by KMEL’s Big Von) and No Money, No Problems. His eyes are now set on entertaining audiences on the global stage.
