Description
Independent artist Mark Jungers combines country laments with swampy grooves and twangy rockers to create an album that is fresh yet familiar.
Notes
In his 6th release since the outstanding reception of his debut album in 2000, independent Americana artist Mark Jungers presents his most realized work yet- I’ll See You Again, 12 songs lamenting the past, while challenging a brighter future.
From front to back, this album was a labor of love for Mark, who not only wrote all the songs, but also recorded and produced the CD. As usual, there is no sameness to these tracks. Mark combines country mourners with swampy grooves and folky rockers to create an album that is fresh yet familiar. Along with the usual suspects (band members Adrian Schoolar, Wes Green, Josh Flowers, Dennis Merritt), up-and-coming Ben Balmer adds harmony vocals as well as stellar harmonica playing, while the always impeccable Gurf Morlix adds pedal steel and baritone guitar.
