Notes
Corona singer-songwriter Abdel Dakhil has been writing music in one way or another for almost 7 years. Though the genres he's written have changed and evolved over those years, his evocative and honest lyrics and songwriting hasn't. From the lovelorn ballad, "Rapunzel," to the upbeat indie-styled "When I Go," Dakhil's diverse songs on his debut EP, "Trials," showcase his unique guitar-stylings and vocals. Taking influences from everyone from The Beatles to Two Door Cinema Club, John Mayer, The Smiths and more, Dakhil is an up and coming artist not to be missed. Catch him at the beginning of his sure to be long career. Whether it's through your car stereo system, walking around with your headphones, or relaxing at home, "Trials," is your perfect new soundtrack to listen to over and over.

Growing up in Southern California, Abdel Dahkil first started performing with his local band: The Badlands of Maine. Eventually, writing his first song at the age of 15, just two years after picking up the guitar. His variety of guitar techniques utilizes finger picking and harmonics, often experimenting with melodies to accompany his unique tone. Lyrically, Abdel’s songs delve into adolescent struggles, first romances, and the complications of finding an identity in adulthood. His musical influences derive from early jazz and blues, touching across genres from pop rock and The Beatles, to modern soft rock and John Mayer. Abdel’s passionate and lively performances have sparked a quick following amongst local open mics. In the summer of 2014, Abdel began working on his first E.P. “Trials”, which marks his first published recordings. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California, at work on his first album.
