Description
Melodic prog rock/electronic music. A journey across the wasteland, where only a few traces are left of the extinguished humanity.
Notes
ABOUT THE ALBUM:
Traces of Humanity is an album of rock/electronic music, with an experimental and open-minded approach, but always with an eye on the melody.
A concept album, set in a “not so distant” future, that tells the story of the last days of mankind. A journey across the wasteland, a devastated Earth, where only a few traces of the extinguished humanity are left. So, in this journey, we will encounter some of these traces: stories, images and audio findings, that sketch out some of the causes that led to this final scenery.
ANDREA BARONI'S BIO:
Andrea Baroni (Italy, 1978), is a multimedia artist, best known as the keyboard player of the metal band Icycore.
He has undertaken the study of classical piano since the tender age of six. Then metal bands and electronic albums ultimately led him astray, making him fell in love with synths and with the world of modern music.
He played keyboards in many local bands, and in 1998 he entered the metal band Icycore as the official keyboard player. Together with them he released three albums, and played in many gigs.
After a Master in Computer Science, taken in 2003, in 2006 he moved, for a short period of time, to London, where he succesfully achieved a degree within SAE Institute.
Since then he established his own project studio, called cyberleaf, where he creates his own music, soundtracks for many multimedia projects and works to the recordings and mixing of albums.
His music is a mix of melodic and soft elements with experimental and more aggressive sounds, always with the aim of telling a story, to awake emotions and let the listener bethink.
