Notes
Fresh off the heels of his song "Lost to be Found" being chosen as the theme song for CBS's show "Battle Creek," Michigan's Brandon Calhoon releases his new EP "Park Avenue" featuring the single "That's What I'm Talkin' About" on June 23rd, 2015 - available on iTunes and every digital music platform.
The 5 song EP, recorded at Reed Recording Company in Bay City, Michigan, displays some of the most fully-realized songwriting Calhoon has done to date since returning to his native Michigan from his several year stay in Nashville, TN.
Songs like "Company That I Keep" put Brandon in an alt-country space along the likes of Ryan Adams, while others like "Ride" explore Midwestern themes of muscle cars and freedom.
About Brandon:
Brandon Calhoon is a stripped down rock and soul singer based out of Metro Detroit. Brandon kick-started his career when he became the dark horse favorite on the short lived “RockStar” TV series, “RockStar: INXS."
After the show, Brandon returned to MI where he wrote and recorded several albums. He was consequently nominated for several Detroit Music Awards, including “Best New Artist” and “Best Rock Record." In 2010 his song “Detroit City” was featured on FX’s hit TV show “Justified."
