Notes

The chief whips are a 3 piece rock band from Leeds UK. Frontman Steve Sanderson was a member of Punk/Blues band 'The Attic' 1988-1996, whose minor successes included the infamous 'Off The Nest'EP. The band folded in 1996 and Steve played in a local covers band for a few years. He eventually began to miss the more creative side of making music and embarked on an acoustic guitar based venture with legendary local bluesman BB Tim and latterly with future Whips bassist Rich 'Sniffer' Clark.
After the positive response to an early demo, Steve and Rich decided to recruit a drummer with a view to putting a band together again and Marty Whip completed the line up in 2006. The D.I.Y approach made more achievable through access to the internet has inspired the band and they recorded 'The Other Creek' on portable tape and digital multitrack recorders at their rehearsal studio in Leeds.
