Description
A Conceptual Masterpiece from the UK's finest True Heavy Metal Warriors.
Notes
Conquest of Steel have earned their name as Britain’s number one metal warriors, flying the flag of British Metal at home and abroad. Renowned for their manic live shows, they have long been wowing crowds in support of their critically acclaimed albums. With cult status already assured, the band will continue to gig across this and other lands prove to the gig-going public that Heavy Metal is alive and well.
The quest began in 1998 with the ‘Priests of Metal’ EP (self released) which impressed listeners with its old school values and metal ethos. The band then released ‘Stadiums of Steel’, a split 12” (No Face Records) with fellow British metallers Evanesce (RIP). Following the success of the 12” the band set about producing their debut album ‘Conquest of Steel’, an album has now become part of the Conquest legacy doing much to garner the attentions of both press and fans. The ‘May Your Blade Never Dull’ EP released in late 2006 featuring both re-recorded old tracks and brand new Metal anthems was the first time that the band’s live vigour had been truly captured on CD and, for a metal starved public it represented a return to the glory days of heavy metal. Conquest of Steel’s 2nd album ‘Hammer and Fist’ (No Face Records) was released in 2007: 10 tracks of Heavy Metal Thunder, an iron-clad production and a ‘non-more metal’ attitude.
The bands 3rd album has just been released - a full-blown concept album entitled ‘Storm Sword: Rise of the Dread Queen’. This is Conquests most ambitious project yet.
Line-up: Dan Durrant (Vocals)
DD Danger (Guitars)
Vic Victory (Bass)
James ‘Claymore’ Clarke (Lead Guitar)
Chris ‘The Destroyer’ Mills (Drums)
