Description
Songwriting that calls on the blues, jazz, classic R&B and folk music, is Embroidered with both electric and acoustic guitar-lines - complimented at times by mandolin and underpinned by Double bass, at times, it evokes 'Solid Air' period John Martyn.
Notes
Daniel has been writing songs and music all of his life. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has played many different roles in many bands over the years. A composition graduate, he lectures in music near Glastonbury in his native Somerset, UK.
This album of songs features mostly Daniel's instrumental and vocal skills. Several tracks feature 'The Aardvarks' as the band. Daniel has selected new and old material in new recordings and arrangements for this project.
Daniel has written for Dance and film and has toured internationally.
His influences include: John Martyn, Richard Thompson, Bruce Cockburn, John Mayer, Neil Young, Neil Finn & Dylan.
