Notes
Julian Godlee - Bass
Julian was head chorister at Kings College Cambridge under Sir David Wilcocks. At Cambridge he sang with The Cambridge University Chamber Choir under Richard Marlowe, and in London in the Taverner Consort, and Academy of St Martins under Sir Neville Mariner.
He studied singing with Sir Peter Pears and Jeremy White. He performs frequently in oratorio & solo recitals.
He is founder-member of both The Brocket Consort and Cabinet Shuffle: a six-voiced a cappella jazz group.
CD recordings with Cambridge Records include Schubert (An die musik), Schumann (Dichterliebe), Vaughan Williams (Songs of Travel) and Finzi (Earth Air and Rain), a collection of English song with Herre-Jan Stegenga (cello) as well as a collection of jazz and spiritual songs entitled ‘Soulful Songs for Bass’.
