Notes
For their 4th record Telemachus adopted an unusual approach, swapping instruments (yep, this means the bass parts by Wark were recorded upside down on a l/h guitar and vice versa on a r/h guitar for Miller's lead work) and working organically, the songs being put together almost immediately as live demos, the pair improvising as they recorded. The result is a much harder, spikier record than any of it's predecessors, Miller here stamping out a signature guitar sound, proving himself to be a capable and versatile player while Wark seems able to conjure memorable melodies from the most sparse and sometimes harshest of beginnings. So what we have here is a surprising, ambitious record big on riffs and experimentation, perhaps just a little frightening in its occasionally mangled execution - not for the faint of heart!
