Goodbye

Ted Sanborn is a songwriter/multi-instrumentalist in Phoenix, Arizona. Ted's debut album entitled 'Yo!' (self-released in December 2008) showcases his song writing talents and musicianship. Yo! is a rock album and the songs range from guitar rock (Open Air, Communication Breakdown and Let's Get Back) to fun acoustic songs (The More We're the Same) to ballads that describe love and loss (Where You Are, With You, Goodbye). Ted plays a number of musical instruments, mainly voice, guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, and records his original compositions in his own studio, humbly named Bravadosounds. His ability to do so comes from years of training and an unending desire to create original works.

Ted has studied with a number of gifted teachers over the years. This would include a NYC session and Broadway drummer, and a gifted jazz guitarist and graduate of the reknowned Berklee College of Music. Ted has also completed a number of classes through Berklee as well which provided him with the knowledge to record his music using Protools, and to further his knowledge in songwriting. Utlimately, Ted completed 32 weeks of songwriting classes through Berklee and received a specialist certificate in songwriting. He is currently studying voice with John Merwin in Scottsdale, Arizona, who himself studied with the renowned baritone Igor Gorin.

Ted self published his debut album 'Yo!' which took several years to complete. One of the highlights of doing so was the opportunity to work with legendary master engineer Doug Sax who has worked with a number of artists including Pink Floyd, David Gilmour and Diana Krall.

Ted is a member of ASCAP as both a writer and publisher (Bravadosongs). He attended the ASCAP Expo conference in Los Angeles, CA at the end of April 2009 where he had a blast for three days meeting other talented song writers as well has hearing from top music professionals such as Richard Marx, Jeff Lynne and Ann and Nancy Wilson.
