Description

PURE, the new album by E-City with Matthew Enright on guitar and vox, George Gardos on bass and Patrick Saraceno on drums!

Notes

This record was recorded in 48 hours. As the title "Pure" appropriately describes in one word, this record is truly "Pure". All basic tracks were recorded with the band members in the same studio at the same time. All in, all done in two days. No e-mailed parts sent in on this record. In fact the track "Won't Shine Again", a 12 bar blues original was recorded on one take, vocal and instruments at the same time with no overdubs. "Save Me A Waltz" and "Never Knew" have a string section which enhances and broadens the landscape of the story lines in these two songs. The instrumental "Baby Talk" is gushing with an abstract horn section that distinguishes the melody from the jam. This horn section is also found on "Party Time" which every good party needs, a bright horn section with a devilish sax solo. The tracks "Illusion", "Closer" and "Get It Right" are all strong feels that show how well the band members play together and how the solo guitar is distinctly diversified from song to song. "Darkest Night" is an urban reggae that shows off the bass and drums with a little bit of an electric 12 string guitar in the solo which makes it a very nice ride. The haunting track "Ye Ole Town" really takes the listener on a journey to that imaginary town which everybody wants to visit at least once in a lifetime. All together these 10 songs will entertain in one or more ways. Good playing, good singing, good lyrics, good songs. "Pure "
