Notes
All songs here were written for my sister, Christina. It's a tribute album to her love and sadness. And, also, it's the first album from Lazy Avenue. She left this side of life for an eternity. She was a kind and loving person. I felt heartbroken for this since she was always like a friend to me, you know, best kind.
Christina also used to make posters for my previous band's live shows to support us. She was a talented artist. The shows were small, and humble local show back in Calgary, Alberta. The best memory was that we put those posters in parts of town when the entire city was shut down due to heavy snow. So, eventually, we did not expect any crowds on that day. But, it turned out to be one of the best shows we ever had, and it was a really fun & beautiful.
Now, years has passed. I still feel so sorry to her. I felt like I could not protect her. And, also, it's really pain that I live daily lives doing such things that everyone does. So, in one way, it was not fun to create this album. It's a journey that I went back to times when I enjoyed and regretted. I cried a lot while I was recording this.
However, it was the project that taught me lots things: writing songs, bass & drums, mixing & editing and mastering. So, with such a great motivation, thanks to Christina, I could finish this album. It took long times since I did not know much about recording. But, eventually, I feel happy that I did this. I would not say this is the best quality album since I could do better for many things next times. But, I am still proud of this album. I hope Christina feels the same way, too...
