Notes
Taylor Lane is a Pop/Rock artist from Duncanville, Texas, a small town just south of Dallas. Bringing together a blend of stylistic chords and narrative lyrics, there is much to be heard in this twenty-year-old artist.
After arriving in Boston, Massachusetts early 2012, Taylor started his career as a full time musician. Local venues and street shows became the foundation, while still continuing to write songs. His debut EP “Somehow, So Loud”, released April 1st, is a project that he has spent the past year writing and recording. While shooting his first music video “Cigarettes, Make-Up Sex & Destiny” with local video producer Chris DeSanty, rough plans for his Summer 2012 tour began to take shape.
From a young age Taylor had always taken to music. Learning the drum set at the age of ten led him to join the music program in his small town. After hearing his eighth grade science teacher play his guitar in class, it wasn’t long before it led to a $100 guitar from Target and a “how-to” DVD. Upon his high school graduation, he left Texas to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. After a year of studies, the decision was made to leave school and pursue his music career full time.
“Music is emotion meeting expression”. Songs such as “Autumn Comes Around” capture this phrase more than ever with it’s playfully descriptive verses and captivating chorus. With words that move to the music, there’s an underlying country style to the lyrics that draws you in to the story being told.
“Somehow, So Loud” is available now on iTunes and the music video for “Cigarettes, Make-Up Sex & Destiny” has recently been released. Keep your eyes open for the Taylor Lane Somehow, So Loud tour coming Summer of 2012.
